Wherein my diet consists of:
A. an assortment of holiday cookies from (presumably) smith's bakery
B. a box of cheez-it's
(ahaha! It just occurred to me that they probably had a heck of a time trying to get the word "ZIT" out of their products)
C. a month old box of good & plenties
... this is what I ate today. And my mom even sent me with Asparagus.

the midnight oil
I do all sorts of things to put off getting ready for/going to bed. I don't know why I do this.
The list includes:
GoogleReader
Blog-stalking
Youtubing Glee
Playing Hearts on my laptop
I had a good day today. Me and Mom when shopping (nearly a disaster; i hate shopping), we did our blackboard art project (photos to come), I took a bus to Provo, started to drive to Delta, 20 minutes and 2 miles later got off the freeway and went to Panda Express, took a bus home, and went to Kimmy's/Trent's/Jen's/Madre Newman's Extravaganza.
I'm moving next week. I don't want to :[. But I'm going to be living with some nice ladies, so it's all alright.
I'm running in a 5K tomorrow morning with mi Padre (or "Pops" as my 3-year-old cousin calls my uncle). So I really need to go to bed.
...You do this putting-off-getting-ready/going-to-bed devilry too-- right??

pull of the moon
a tea-kettle whistle deep within a home
as a radio sings a song it's sung countless times before
and i step outside with a searching heart
to save up wishes as we look above
at the pull of the moon
and the weight of the stars
you anchor me with all that you are
like the stemming of the tide
moon's attraction to the sea
you are, you are all these things

school post vs. jillian post
Okay, so that had to be e-mailed to my teacher so I felt a shouldn't talk about a few things that made today... so special?
First of all
First of all
- I listen to Whitney Houston when I run in hyde park. It's pretty standard.
- I got hit on in a TESCO metro by a man who was very difficult to understand. But I know he was hitting on me. Oh the universal language of flirt.
- My bunk mate MET my soul mate.... aka Chelsea met Gavin Creel. I want to cry and punch her and then hug her. Some of his essence might rub off on me.
I am in love with London. I don't want to come back ever.

Poe the Peg-legged Pigeon
Mooooooooom
I got you a present today! From Portabello Market. It's the raddest baddest.Oh my gosh I loved Portabello Market. I'm going back every Saturday - for sure.
I found Hummingbird Cafe. (Cupcake - gone in 60 seconds. maybe 90. i'm serious)
On the way back I saw Poe, the Peg-legged Pigeon. He had a peg-leg (hence the name) and I thought it was so sad. Seriously, I couldn't look at him.
Okay, readers - there is only one person whose present is stumping me.
This is my awesome brotha, Jamesy. James - what do you want?? I have ideas of what to get you, but they all get shot down. Maybe I will just bring you a thousand pounds of English chocolate/toffee/etc. Sound good?

like london, london, london
I am officially too tired to post much tonight, but I'll put a few pictures up from the day and explain more about them tomorrow.
** so... I fro-ed my hair. on accident. basically i looked like a queen all day long yesterday. but it was okay, because i am in England and I hear they really like queens over here....
We took the TUBE from the airport. How bold are we?
this, plus me, was our DL 40 group. We had a party. Until we got out of the underground and could not find the Center. Totally in the wrong direction, without street signs, and no body knew where "Palace Court" was. Seriously, people, don't you LIVE here?? shouldn't you KNOW what the streets in the one mile radius around you are? But don't worry, we found it. After a prayer. Seriously, we pulled over (we had a caravan of 6.5 50+ lbs suitcases) and said a prayer. Within 3 minutes, bada-bing!
This is the view from the TUBE. How quaint is my new home??
This is a river, from the tube. Notice the sign - they have the greatest signs here. The little stick figures are so much more animated here. It's great.
This is the view I see when I turn around and look out my window. Rad.
This is the view from our back patio thing. I am in love with my neighborhood.
Who is in this picture... Jenny is first and foremost, and Whitney. Back there there is Jared, Mark, Charlie, Stephen, and I think you can see Kate too. There were more of us - we went to see Big Ben. ....
This seriously was so cool. I went cause I was trying to NOT go to sleep and wasn't too excited about the actual site. But, guys, BIG BEN IS WICKED COOL. My flash made it super dark, but it was light and beautiful. And at nine-o'clock (the same time that Peter and Wendy take off from the clock, I am pretty sure) we were the bridge right next to it looking at the Eye of London (dark picture below, with Jenny again {hey girl!} as well as Ryan and Jared) while it chimed. I already love London. I will blog later about the plane ride maybe cause that was a blast. Gotta go to a meeting now. Hasta luego.
love, from London

but it is not this day
there might be a day when i will cry my eyes out all day
there might be a day when i will draw my blinds and ignore the sunshine
there might be a day when i will eat a pint of ice-cream by myself
there might be a day when i will stay in bed until 3 p.m. listening to sad music
there might be a day when i will pull out "p.s. i love you" and "the notebook" and "becoming jane" and watch them 'til my eyes are swollen
there might be a day when i am crushed
......
but that day is not today. definitely not.

i know, i know
I need to to a major update post. But this is not going to be it. I am sitting in the library. I have been here for 4 hours. And I love it. Seriously. I am pretty happy. It's just a little rainy, dark, and cold. So I am steeling myself to walk home whilst writing paper snippets and watching one tree hill - season 1. it's... interesting. but i love nathan. what can i say? I'm a sucker for basketball players who are not named chad michael murray. yeah.
here is where i am:
okay, i didn't actually take this. and it is no way that light outside. but i am looking down a row that looks remarkably similar, except i'm at the window end. so happy studying, happy finals, happy april. it's gonna be a killer-great month.
p.s. update soon. like asap. promise. cross my heart and hope to die.

bellissima
**
Honestly, this day is WONDERFUL!
It's sunny and beautiful and we had cleaning checks today! I am writing my paper on Othello right now.
It makes me want it to be summer and so I can run around barefoot and go swimming and soak the sun til I am burnt to a crisp.
I am just in a good mood. I am blessed and happy. And it's sunny. huzzah!
**this picture is the mood i am in.... not necessarily what p-town looks like... just ps

friday in pictures
I talked to this person and felt much better
(BEST PART) I saw this @ BYU's International Cinema ... for free *
I went here:
and tickled my fancy with one of these suckers:
Then used a truly wonderful coupon to get these two for just one dollah (I know, am I frugal or what??)
And now I am sitting here about to buy this:
Cause I loved it so.
Try and show me a better Friday.
* It was incredible. Ugh. I need better words to describe it. Beautiful, romantic, moving, suspenseful, shocking, memorable, unforgettable. Unforgettable. Magical? sure.
Salim looked like Arlen, my first autistic kid. So I double loved it. Wow. Wow-wow-wow.
